Monday we took the bus to New Haven Connecticut and then rented a car to go to Voluntown Connecticut, the birthplace of my Grandpa Whipple. It was an exhausting and wonderful trip. The bus ride was long and we were tired. Voluntown is a tiny community, beautiful with lots of trees and little else. There is a small cemetery where my Great Grandparents are buried. My Niece Kelsey has done some research and is covered that Grandpa Frank was a bit of an outlaw. We then drove across the river into Rhode Island and headed back to New Haven. We returned with just enough time to drive around Yale. Kelsey’s notes on Grandpa are attached.
