The Bronx

We took Monday the 9th off because we were so tired.  On Tuesday we went to the Bronx to Van Cortlandt Park.  We toured the Van Cortlandt Home that dates back to the Revolutionary War.  It was neutral ground for the leaders of both armies and Washington had stayed there.  We then went to see the Woodlawn Cemetery.  It is huge and we only looked through the fence as we had walked nearly two miles and it was going to require at least another mile in and then hiking up and down hills.  We had hoped to go see a cottage that Edgar Allen Poe had lived in but ran out of time.  Oh, and we had tickets to “Beautiful” again

Art Thou Better Than He?

 We went to the Liberty Jail.  I was quite disappointed in the tour.  We started at the visitor center just across the street from the RLDS ...
